Porcelain Veneers
In Pembroke, ON

Enhance Your Smile with Dr. Munro

Veneers are thin shells that we place over the surface of your teeth to hide unwanted cosmetic issues. They’re made from durable, tooth-colored porcelain to ensure a stunning appearance and long-lasting results.

Dr. Munro will customize your veneers so they blend in seamlessly with your natural teeth, helping you achieve your dream smile. Typically, we recommend veneers for treating the following issues:

  • Chipped and cracked teeth
  • Stained and discolored teeth
  • Crooked or misshapen teeth
  • Gaps between teeth

The Veneers Process

Enhancing your smile with veneers is a quick and easy process that’s typically completed in just two appointments. During the first visit, Dr. Munro will take a detailed impression of your smile and send it to a laboratory, where your veneers will be customized to match your teeth.

In roughly two weeks, your veneers will be ready and you can return to our office. Dr. Munro will check them carefully to ensure the fit and color are perfect before bonding them to your teeth with a special dental adhesive.

Getting veneers is a non-surgical treatment, so you won’t have to worry about a painful recovery or inconvenient aftercare limitations. Once your veneers are in place, all that’s left to do is enjoy your beautiful new smile.

Candidacy for Porcelain Veneers

Generally speaking, there are no major health obstacles that prevent any patient from receiving veneers. If you have cosmetic flaws in your smile that you’d like to eliminate, veneers are likely a great treatment for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the veneers procedure painful?

Dr. Munro will numb your teeth and gums with a local anesthetic before placing your veneers, so you won’t feel any pain. You may feel mild discomfort right after the procedure, but this will fade away within a few hours.

How long do veneers last?

With proper care, veneers usually last between seven and fifteen years.

How many appointments does the procedure require?

In most cases, Dr. Munro will perform the whole treatment in just two appointments roughly two weeks apart.

How much do porcelain veneers cost?

Porcelain veneers range anywhere from $925 to $2,500 per tooth.

Does dental insurance cover veneers?

Veneers are a cosmetic treatment, so most insurance plans won’t provide any benefits. However, there could be exceptions depending on your provider.

What if my veneer falls off or is damaged?

If you damage a veneer, or if one falls out of your mouth, don’t attempt to fix or reattach it yourself. Store it carefully in a safe place and do your best to keep it clean, then contact our practice right away.

How do I take care of my veneers?

You can maintain your veneers just like your natural teeth, with daily brushing and flossing in addition to regular dental checkups. To help them last, we recommend avoiding habits that can damage your teeth such as chewing ice cubes or biting your fingernails.

Do veneers work for crooked teeth?

Yes — for some patients, we use veneers to close gaps between teeth for a straighter smile.
